By Road. From the East. A590Barrow in Furness has a difficult one way system. If you are a stranger to the town follow these instructions and all should be straightforward. You will approach Barrow on the A590. About 5 miles from Barrow you will pass through a small village called Lindal in Furness.
After Lindal the road climbs a steep hill with a roundabout at the top. Barrow is fork right, count this roundabout as number 1. You will travel the Dalton by-pass and come to a 2nd roundabout, go straight on, the road decends a steep hill to 3rd roundabout.
This 3rd roundabout is critical ( do not follow Barrow signs), turn left signed Furness General Hospital. The road climbs a hill and then after a flat period descends to the 4th roundabout. Turn right and you are back on the old A590 into Barrow. This is Abbey Road.
From the town boundary start counting the traffic lights, and as you approach the 5th set take the left hand slip lane. You will see the Duke Hotel ahead of you on the corner. Turn left at the lights into Rawlinson St. Take the 2nd right turn into Buccleuch St ( about 400 yards). 128 Buccleugh Street is located at the first left corner (Allison Street) / Buccleugh Street.
By Road from the North A595
After pasing trough Askam in Furness you will tavel about 2.1/2 miles climbing up a steep hill to a roundabout, turn right signed Barrow.the road decends a steep hill to 2nd roundabout.
This 2nd roundabout is critical ( do not follow Barrow signs), turn left signed Furness General Hospital. The road climbs a hill and then after a flat period descends to the 3rd roundabout. Turn right and you are back on the old A590 into Barrow. This is Abbey Road.

By Rail
As you exit Barrow station turn left. go down the station approach road to a junction and turn left. About 30 yards you will come to Abbey Road Traffic lights, cross over Abbey Road into Rawlinson St Take the 2nd right turn into Buccleugh St ( about 400 yards).
